For speed freaks only. The sound of the engine at the start will make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up.

Keeping vaguely on topic with Paris/fast driving, I've always reckoned this is one of the best car chases. Seems a bit more real than most, my only critiscm is they devote more time to headlight flashing than steering ๐Ÿ™‚

(I've watched it, posted it, now here I am watching it again...)

It wouldn't be so cool if he hit a cyclist. ๐Ÿ™„

Amazing. I guess it's stage because of the number of red lights blasted though at to speed.

Saxonrider, I know. Not encouraging this sort of thing, just a cool video from 1976. ๐Ÿ˜‰

i can't see it ๐Ÿ™

its not that rubbish fake with the camera mounted close to the ground and different engine soundtrack over the top to make it sound like he's doing 100mph when its actually more like 20-30mph and only just overtaking scooters is it?

Ronin - the flashing light are signals to move between stunt drivers.
Most of the chase cars were RHD with a dummy steering fitted to the left (Maggie simpson;-) So when you see Bob driving the car at speed in close up, he is in a car being driven at speed but by some one else.
After the chase's the best bit has got to be Bob pronoucing Hereford.

Erm, I think he's going pretty fast actually!!

Like ronin but de Niro looks like he's in his meet the fockers period, expecting gaylord to turn up. ๐Ÿ˜€

Like the other car chase in Ronin with the Audi s8, just relentless.

Apologies, I think there Might have been another car chase post on recently and this appears to be the beginning of a feeble attempt to outdo, so I'll bow out gracefully.

Rendezvous has always left me strangely cold, however *real* it is.

I think it's something to do with the emptiness of Paris.

Yup. Doing those speeds on a 80's GSXR1100 it was probably inevitable.

The Moscow R1 vid looks a bit speeded up, espcially when they're filtering around 4.20.

The original Paris Ferrai vid reminded me of the 'Ghost Rider' or 'Stu-Pid' riding videos.

Not a fan myself, but one of the guys in work is really into stuff like that.

I think your athens is backing off a fair bit, i mean you're not going to kill yourself unless you are flat out all the time.

... and here's what happens to those morons that use public roads as racetracks.

Serves 'em right.

You may not care about your life, but you shouldn't put others at risk.

Damn...cant watch any of these youtube vids here at work.
That rally vid works though. Love that.

Slight aside, is there a decent Rally game for the XBox360 ?

The only fictional car chases of note that I can think of off hand are Ronin and French Connection, the later alledgely being done for real in everyday traffic with no police approval or prior knowledge.

And then there's Steve McQueens 'nothing was speeded up' Bullit. Yup. In his defence, perhaps he didn't know what 'speeded up' meant?

As much for the dry wit and acting as the actual driving. Top film, mind.
