Says it was near North Downs Way near Shere. Now I thought Shere was Surrey Hills cos it's south of A25. So not sure quite where this was but either way, keep an eye out, there's a dangerous idiot out to do harm!

Any of you older folk may remember the dutch girl that got murdered in that area (East Horsley) in the mid 80s - string across a path, she stopped to undo it, raped, murdered, burnt. We lived 1/4 of a mile away at the time - makes this seem even worse somehow.
It is the NDW, North of the A25 although as you say Shere is south, I guess fewer people would know where Coombe Bottom is.
Hopefully an isolated incident with some kids messing around rather than anything more malicious. Not good though.
