On a recent holiday to Vigo/Pontevedra, I thought I'd take a trip to this bike park.

18 Euros a day for a lift pass, 6 testing downhill runs lasting approx 3mins each. Very rocky and steep in places, lots of drops, jumps and north shore. There is a small bike shop, although it didnt look like it had much in it apart from a service stand. Bike hire would be good as my Stumpy with 140/120mm travel was well under sprung (bottomed out front every run, even after adding 30psi) - full downhill rigs looking the norm.
Theres a school canteen type of restaurant for lunch breaks and a bar. Its a ski resort during the winter, so plenty of apartments to hire, and I was told by a local that they were cheap and could accomodate around 6 people.
Travel from Vigo airport would be 2.5hrs. I think Easyjet fly there now.
If you fancy a w/e away riding somewhere different on some excellent downhill runs, I'd recommend it.
Heres some vids:
Avalanche - check out the 3mtr up north shore at the end! Hell of a drop after too!

Well it doesnt look like easyjet do flights to Vigo? I'm sure when I travelled with them recently, their in flight brochure was advertising it.. maybe the route is planned for sometime soon.
Looks like quite a nice park, wouldn't mind riding some stuff like that this weekend instead of the stupid canal tow-path im destined to ride :~|
