Need a new stem for the Spicy. I've always gone for Diabolus stems but fancy a change, thinking Point One Split Second (but stupid expensive), or maybe anThomson X4. I'm not too keen on the Hope stems, so they are out. Anything else worth considering?

Gusset Staff. It looks ok, is pretty light and doesn't cost the earth.

Easton Havoc? Still not sure about it myself, graphics are a bit OTT:

Gusset Staff is really nice. Bit glossy though. But cheap, light, and works just as well as all these expensive ones.

Pro FRS is good too.

Spank 2 Timer

MUCH cheaper than the others you mention, and oddly enough looks as if it was as expensive to make!

Picked mine up on eBay in as new condition for £20, but even rrp is cheap on them compared to the competition

If you want pimp and light my 50mm Easton Haven is lovely and 136g... 8)

I also liked the dinky Sunline AM I saw on a friends bike - looked lovely in very polished silver

I have these on a couple of bikes, another Thomson rip-off probably but no complaints from me...

Hard to fault the Thomson. And you're not going to look at it in five years and think it looks dated, like some of the other options. Simple, elegant quality.

Thomson for me too. A mate has a Renthal, I think it looks just a little bit ugly.
