I haven't gone 12 speed because you can get perfectly good range in 10 and 11 speed. I got a couple of those cassettes, but I did pay £20 for the first one!

With age comes wisdom. 😀 I had the foresight to get three. In all my years of riding bikes, I can’t ever remember a cassette for £10!!

*EDIT - it was a 10 speed one I picked up, not 12. Sorry!

I might have a spare one if you're struggling? Cost plus whatever postage ends up being if you want it?

I needed to remove the insert on my xt rear mech to get clearance on the 46t. There's a black plastic bung that I think is locking device.
I levered it out , re inserted the b screw. Wound it in enough to move the upper jockey wheel a few CMS below the cassette.

No offence! your username prompted my comment, hence the smiley.
In reality I should have gotten more, it’s just a spare for my fat bike, gravel bike and Jnr’s hardtail. Great offer and I’m happy so many others took advantage.

Not mine, but these are cheap:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/386326947385?hash=item59f2e16639:g:GVkAAOSwMZtlLv7F

Seller has a lot of good deals if you search "other items", seems he's been clearing out CRC too.

Quite some years ago, I stocked up on XT 11-34 9 speed cassettes I found at a bargain price.

They because surplus to requirements and I got rid of them during the pandemic. I failed to break even on each and every one of them

I'm now less inclined to hold a large stock of consumables.

Currently talking myself out of grabbing a couple more 11 speed chains as I already have 3 in the spares box.

I thought similar. I put it in the basket and waited a few days while looking for other things to get the price up to £20 for free postage. A few days later they were up to £20, I thought '@@@@. I'll come back in a few days when I have time. They'll never go up again'. Next time I looked they were £30+.

coconut that very much looks like CRC packaging 😁 I noticed there's quite a few like that on there . Can't blame people but at £20 Inc postage you're likely making bobbins out of the deal ? Factor in boxing them up and taking them to the PO there's not much in it . I paid £13 odd for mine as I had to pay postage.

I bought two, I've put the spare one with £15 Microshift ten speed one that I bought when they were cheap, which is next to Redwin Red 9 speed that I'll never use...

I bought one without a clear plan on what I was going to use it for it's either a spare for when the Advent X 11-48 on the big bike needs replacing (reckon that's a long way off yet) or its going on the gravel bike (currently 11-40, but I'm kind of happy with that).

or (most likely) it's going on my Rigid MTB which is feeling a little under gunned with 1x9 with an 11-34 cassette at present. I happen to have a spare M5100 Mech so I just need a cheapy 10 speed lever the current £9 bargain still on Chiggle is I-spec though, and I'm not using I-spec...

This is the trouble, a tenner chucked at a 'bargain' then leads to a whole load of supplementary deal sifting, more purchases and tinkering. and i still wish I'd bought two more just in case...

There don't seem to be any really big deals on cassette at Chiggle any more, but I did find a 42 tooth cassette expander cog for 10 speed cassettes at £1.99.

It's no good to me but if anyone can use one it's here - e.thirteen Cassette Range Expander Cog | Wiggle

I bought 2 of the 11spd Tifosi ones when CRC had them for £15... but then I've got 2 sets of wheels on my gravel/commuter bike, so it was useful.. Still going well since March.

They were £9 at one point. There’s some margin there. Not a lot, but isn’t that true for anything @ £20 on eBay?
