No intention of buying one any time soon but wondered if kings were going the distance especially during this time of year

Had mine a year and it's A1. I actually bought the special tool for pumping in new grease and purging the old. It does work really well, have to say. It didn't really need doing but it's been in there almost 12 months and I figured that it really ought to be done even if the bearings still felt perfect.

I've got one that's about 18 months old and two that are 12 months.

All of them are as smooth as they were when new.

I use the grease tool on them every couple of months just to make sure they stay that way.

Just for comparison shimano bb's used to last me five to six months.

I've had a couple for a year or so. I've greased them manually a couple of times due to creaking, but found the noise was from somewhere else later.

Still sparkling inside, so wearing well.
