Hi, a question for monday morning!

I am going to be working within an hr drive of Snowdon for the next few months and wondered hom practical it would be, weather depending, to park at the bottom (not sure where) and ride to the summit by first light (not sure how long it takes to ride up) then desend at first light bac to the car then off to work.

Practical?
Crazy?

Oh, and "what tyres!"

Anyone have any ideas where to park and how long it takes up and down!

Cheers

I think 1 hour 3 minutes is the record for power ramblers. Probably a bit more for cyclists (say 2-3 hours)

Took us about 3hrs to get up there couple of weeks ago, more hike a bike than riding due to snow. That's up the Llanberis pass which is the longer way.
Lot quicker back down through the snow ๐Ÿ˜€

Two hours up for us with a food stop and a pretty busy Llandberis trail.

I can't remember how long it took us to get down the Rangers.

I was up and down in 2.5 hours a few years ago.

Took me about 2 hours to get to the summit.

17 mins for idave, Walleater was a bit quicker IIRC.. ๐Ÿ˜€ Scruff was pinning it as well but as was expected with a 17 1/2 stoner, he double punctured.

From Pen Y pass car park (which is already high) its not diffcult to get to the top in under an hour (running)
