Anyone wearing a smith session helmet? Any real reviews?
Yes just got one. Still getting used to it after years in URGE.
The good
-Great ventilation at least compared to the URGE helmets
-Construction is solid and well put together
-Vapour lock is easy to adjust
- easy to store glasses and goggles as the rear is flat
- the three position vertical adjustment is handy as I was finding too much pressure On the back of my head when I cinched it right so moved it to the middle position which has eased the pressure point
The not so bad
- not the lightest of helmets but then again not too heavy either
- the visor adjustment is wishy washy when you move it into any of the 3 positions, secure , but still wishy washy IMO
The annoying
- the chin straps you just can’t get them to lay flat against your cheek. But I’ve gotten used it to over the last month.
- I’ve been spoilt with the padding URGE helmets use and the helmet could use a bit more especially in the rear. I still feel it puts a tad more pressure than I need.
I’ve used the helmet for commuting and night rides as well overall I’d give it 4/5. Oh it does come up large.
