I've just ordered on of the cheap eBay Canyon droppers for my wife's bike, and already have a Bran X lever in the spares box, as well as a bulk load of gear inner/outer.
Am I right in thinking I can just grab a solderless nipple to stick at the post end end? Any idea what size it needs to be?
Ta!
You can cut down the brass connector in a mains plug too, so I was told on here way back anyway.
Excuse the daftish Q : I got a Canyon post from ebay recently - and I added to the PSA post one here. I paired it to a brand X lever.
The nipple at the post end is the standard gear cable termination. The lever end is the plain end. There was no need for an extra nipple.
Maybe you have a different generation of post / lever ?
I used these
To achieve the same. I used the free end of the cable at the lever end with one of the solderless nipples. Makes adjusting the length really easy

Guessing op has the first gen lever that doesn't have a grub screw mate.
My new Canyon Iridium/BrandX also has no clamp / grub screw.
It fits a standard brake cable end.
I happened to have a new lever, with clamp at that end anyway. One of the cheap ZTTO eBay ones - £11, better than the original.

Ah - ok. So my input isnt helpful then.
Cheers Dai3015 -I'd taken a punt and ordered a couple of those already, so good news!
To bushing plan as well Poopscoop, will keep that in mind!
Kneed -yeah, the lever I have is from a failed 1st Gen. The moulded end is at the lever and it had a clamp on nipple at the post end 🙂
