I want to convert a Carrera Subway from 3x7 to ss. I see that the rear hub has a screw on cassette. Can you buy a screw on cog to fit this type of hub?
If so any pointers on what I need and where from please?

What you need is a "screw-on freewheel" (assuming you want it as singlespeed, not fixed gear).

It would be worth re-spacing the hub and re-dishing the wheel to improve chainline though.
