I might be being a bit thick here but here goes....
I ride an Orange P7 SS & need a new chain. I have a shimano DX rear sprocket with a race face chain ring which is 104x34 SS. The chain is a SRAM pc38. Just trying to work out if the chain is an 7/8/9 speed? Or what would be a good replacement?
KMC 610 is what I use. Should fit the DX rear cog. £8 from CRC at the mement.
Assume the chain is just on the wear point so you therefor don't need to replace both cogs?
Chain hasn't been changed for 6 years maybe.... I know.... It should have but doesn't miss a beat. Surly tensioner & just need to change my gearing from 34/15 as I need it to be a little bit easier... Before I pop my knees!!
If not changing the cogs can you turn them round to get twice the wear 8)
