im quite novice when it comes to bike maintenance.....

when you fit the chain throuh the rear mech and jockey wheels, does the chain go in front of the metal bar on the cage bit or behind the metal bar??? can any one confirm which is correct with an image pleaaaaase??? just a close up of one thats fitted correctly ๐Ÿ™

cheers bruneep, unfortunately it doesnt show the chain going either side of this bar??? i think it goes behind it but am not 100% sure....has somebody got an xt rear mech they can just check or got a close up pic of the rear end of the bike??

Have a look at this (link as the image is massive)

So, round the cassette, back around the top jockey, above the metal pin on the cage to the bottom jockey, round and off to the front...

Just fit it one of the two possible ways, give the cranks a few test turns if it rubs fit it the other way. Sorted ๐Ÿ™‚
