Now that summer has passed up here in darkest Scotlandshire I'm thinking about treating myself to a new waterproof jacket. The Showers Pass Elite jacket seems to get a lot of good press and wondering if anyone on here has any direct experience of using it and if it compares favourably to Goretex. Any comments appreciated.

I have an IMBA jacket that I like. It’s very green though.
