I think I just bought this off the classifieds!

You certainly haven't bought that one unless it comes complete with a split-in-two seat tube at the lower shock mount... That happened a few months after I sold it.

Anyone got a pic of a proflex with rigid forks and a flex stem?

Know someone with one of them in their garage, unused for years, I'm sure they'd part with it if you're interested.

bought second hand in 2001/2 to see if i would really bother with this offroad malarky.

pic above is after i chopped the seat pin and found a comfy(ish) saddle for the missus to use - she rode it for about four years.

It was an Alpinestars RSA840. Don't think I ever saw another in all the time I had it. Resplendent with it's ox blood Bombers 😆

Sorry about crap pictures, this was my first digital camera back in 2000.

not mine but I had one of these
[img] [/img]

And it certainly did not have bar ends on – used mainly for DH duties (step up from the Orange Clockwork I had been using) – the forks did not last too long so ended up sporting some RST triple clamp forks (3 pair – only slight less bendable then the Grivins) and some big Azonic DH Bars

Orange X2, '97 i think. Never really got on with it, partly because it was too small for me.

Don't have a pic but mine was a circa 1996/7 Marin Team DH, which had the same frame as the B17 I think, but was pearlesent white with an orange swing arm and a shit shockworks shock. Hinge Pig is the first thing that springs to mind, but won my first DH race on it, so can't have been that bad.

I had one of these as I was going through a gravity obsessed phase at the time. This one isn't mine but I did have the Boxxer Races with the high drop crown though.

I refuse to even look at pictures of my Pro-Flex Beast. Undoubtedly the worst bike I've ever owned (hardly ridden as it kept falling to bits).

My mate now has this frame, 100mm of brilliant sus, I had a later 120mm afterward but it wasnt a patch on this one. Sometimes I guess less is more.

Exmoor Explorer. 2000. Hmmm. Might grow that beard again. Note Clive Powell Tshirt and walking boots. "Interesting" battery-operated Girvins. Lack of sun-cream...

I think it might be because you're trying to "reference" the whole page rather than the photo itself.

I use "Photobucket" - each individual photo has a short list of functions underneath, one of which is the "IMG" address. Try looking for a similar functionality inside your album on flickr, or can any flickr users here help out?

One of these from off here about 3 years ago, had to sell it when I lost my job - apparently 4 bikes and no work didn't keep the mrs happy

I had one of these. I really wanted a Marin, but for some astonishing reason the VRX was cheaper. I upgraded to a Kinesis Maxlight after a year. 🙂
