feels like I'm riding a big slack BMX with wide bars and looks bizzare
My mate rides one single speed with a renthal MX bar and a VERY short rigid fork.. It IS to all intents and purposes a giant BMX.. looks rad.. I'll post a pic over the next day or two..
Hi can anyone tell me what these like with a 120mm fork on or do they need more?
Finally sussed out what the actual colour of the current 'strong blue' 456 is - it's Bluebell Blue! This was mine this morning, half past six, must have been at least 20degrees. Fan-blooming-tastic.
Oh; the-milkybar-kid - mine's got 100mm Rebas SL's on and it's fine. One of these days* (ahem - only been saying that since day one) - I'll get round to stretching them to 120mm as always planned. I suspect it will only improve it and for XC riding, is probably the perfect option - having played around with my 100 - 130mm Revs from the full susser before.
Building up a Lemon Meringue Summer season over the weekend, 140mm Floats, 10 Speed XT ๐
Will post pics next week!

Just to keep the thread going a little longer, my carbon 456 just built up using the bits from the steel 456 ๐

I had some chainsuck issues with the middleburn rings, so i'm not taking any chances with a homemade chainsuck plate thingy ๐

My 456 - 100mm fork is plenty for most of what i ride. Ocasionally it'll get overwhelmed in seriously rocky areas, but it's only a cheap fork anyway. I did run it with a Pike for a while, and that was smashing, but the Pike went back on the FS after a few weeks. If i was to have one MTB, this would be it.
