[Closed] Should I be Worried about this? Hole in Frame Content

I bought a road bike in March last year and have done about 2000m on it so far I think. It's a Planet X RT-58 but the alloy version, not carbon.

Whilst cleaning it today I noticed a tiny hole at the back of the head tube, where it's welded to the top tube. It's about the size of a pencil nib I guess.

Some poor photos below, but you get the idea I think.

Is this something to worry about? ๐Ÿ˜•

Thanks in advance for any help.

That's a hole in the weld, not the frame. It might possibly be deliberate, but it wouldn't worry me either way TBH. I'd be tempted to fill it with some silicone sealant to stop crap getting in though ๐Ÿ™‚

Unless it becomes a crack I wouldn't worry. Yes its imperfect, but you bought a planet-x, what else did you expect?

Don't worry about it.

* I'd be more worried about buying a road bike TBH.

Cheers guys!

As long as it's not going to fall apart flintstones-style halfway down Holme Moss than I'm happy I suppose.

I've never even noticed it at all in over twelve months but get the feeling it's going to bug the hell out of me now, a bit like the shoddy paint-job I did around the fireplace in my living room.

Trust me, it's even worse if you can see the awful job I did of stuffing the tape into the bar ends

If you find an empty hole, that means the parasite has hatched. I hope you weren't keeping that bike in a shed with other bikes...

I wouldn't worry but I'd fill it in with a blob of epoxy resin then colour it with nail varnish.

Anyone who has seen Aliens on Bikes 3 knows that your bike is doomed.
