Does anyone know anywhere in the UK to buy the lever hose cover for Shimano M985 levers? For some reason they're not included in the lever assembly.

They are not included with the lever as they are part of the hose kit. You need part number 8JA 0700 which are available through any decent bike shop with a Madison account.
It looks as if you need part number Y8JA07000 from the Shimano Tech Docs.
Should be orderable from a LBS (Madison is the Shimano disti).
CRC do not offer them, yet.

Sure you need that part. I have the cover from a set of M785 brakes you could have.

That is because it is included in the diagram for BR-M985, the brake calliper and hose rather than on the lever diagram.
