just bought a set of these, the one with the fins on, got the front one in fine seems to be in good working order, got the back ones in and now when i pull the lever there's nothing there? almost like no fluid in the cable? all ive done is changed the pads, once i pushed the pads in i pushed the pads back so i could get the rotor clearance correct but then just tested the lever and nothing to it? any answers? first time this has happened and ive changed loads of pads before :s
Bike upside down when you pushed the pistons back by any chance? If so, you had air in the reservoir, and it's now in the system. Get yourself a Shimano bleed funnel, screw it in, top it up, and keep flicking the lever until no more bubbles come out(tilting the bike at different angles will help, as will making sure the hose is angled up towards the lever, with no high spots to trap air pockets).Probably worth doing the other one as well.
yea it was upsidown when i pushed pistons back in, but ive done that over the years and not had this prob before, ill get em bled thanks 🙂
