I was under the impression that pretty much all Shimano disc brake levers were compatible with pretty much all Shimano calipers. I've been toying with the idea of changing my old LX levers for something shinier at some point, and rather like the look (and price) of the [url= http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=23097 ]M775 levers[/url].
However, I noticed in the list of features the following statement:
Which rather seems to imply that calipers matched to Servo Wave levers have more pad clearance. My current calipers, which I'd keep, are M595s and the matching M595 levers aren't Servo Wave. Is there such a thing as a 'Servo Wave' caliper and, if so, will I have a problem using Servo-Wave levers with M595 calipers?An increase in pad clearance at the calliper has enabled Shimano to use their proven Servo Wave technology.
