[Closed] Shimano Lock ring Tool TL UN-96 - cheaper alternative?

That's £10 cheaper than than used to be.
You may be able to use a sram truvatiev Isis bb tool but prob no cheaper

Is that not the same as a park tools bbt18?

However, that is the one I have...

Just picked up a nice used set Middleburn RX-8 cranks and spider I want to use as SS on the Stooge and want to get the spider off.

The RX-8 has a different lockring to the square taper ones I've previously used - the lug slots are quite a bit deeper and there is a radius before the lugs even start

All of which mean the lugs of the tool need to be longer

Take it to Andy and offer him some biscuits to do it for you. 😯
