You might be able to buy a new top piece for your shifter but it's usually about £20 if it's compatible

Its just cheaper to buy a new shifter that's ispec ii and sell your saint shifter.

Wolftooth and problemsolvers do a bunch of adapters for this sort of thing but probs just as cheap to buy a new shifter as mentioned above.

In that case does anyone have a 10sp shifter for sale?

Also, does anyone want to buy a Saint shifter?

👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Been there. Worn the frustration.

Daft, isn't it.

I did once get one I-spec to fit another, with a touch of angle grinder. I can't remember which of the gazillion I-specs either is, although it was an M8000 shifter.

If its 10 speed I think the only I spec ii is a deore shifter (might be wrong)

I have one on my winter bike and I can't tell the difference.

I had a Kcnc bar clamp adaptor for the shifter which wasn't too expensive, I don't think you'll get them to attach to each other

I've got a box of I-spec bits but I've no idea if it contains what you need. If you can get to Street in Somerset you're welcome to rifle through it.

Thanks all.

@pjay that’s very kind but sadly no where near to you.

i bought one of these when i wanted to keep my 10 speed xtr shifter (ispec b) and changed my brakes to ispec-ev clamps....

looks a bit flimsy, but so far so good.... could even buy 2 and keep one in your backpack and should it fail it's a 5 minute job to replace with a multitool... infact i might buy another and do just that..

Yeah I bought one of those eBay jobs when I thought I was as going to need to use the ispec b saint shifter with different brakes than the deore 596 that it’s bolted to. It worked as it fixes the shifter to the bars and allowed me to use other brakes but IIRC the brakes in question (Clarks M2) didn’t play nice with it on that mount so I reverted back to the deores and bought new ispec ev brakes for the build they were going to go on.
So to summarise I have a spare ispec b shifter bar mount for postage if you want it but it’s not the perfect solution

Ispec is a solution to a non-existent problem. The only thing it's done for me is position the shift levers slightly too far away (I must have short Trump-fingers), even at the maximum adjustment.
