Hi any one tried a 10 speed cassette on this hub I cant find a definitive answer on google shimano say 9 speed but sjs suggest it can run 10

Yep, fully COMPATABLE.
Regular MTB freehubs go to 11*
*Shimano speeds, that is - SRAM decided to make their own freehub for 11. Still, you get 10, which is better than 9.
