I prepare my bike the night before and every Sunday morning I find my Di2 won't move. I have to take out the seat post disconnect the battery and plug it back in and I'm away!! No trouble at all while out on the bike but over night it cuts out. Anyone?
Take it to a shop who can run diagnostics. Does it have to be the wire to the battery? That suggests loose connection to me. Try swapping the wire?
In my case it was the connector to the front mech wasn't fully seated. Despite the electrical connection being fine, over a period of months it gained a bit of moisture in the connector that was draining the battery. Cleaning the connector, and making sure that it was fully plugged in solved it for me.
Have you updated the firmware recently?
There was a battery update a while ago as there was a lot of battery issues
How do I update it please?
Don't want to hijack the thread or owt but how do you find DI2 compared to mechanical? Been playing about with the idea of building up a nice carbon road bike. Is it worth splashing out the extra £400 or whatever it is to go electronic over regular ultegra?
It's ****ing awesome.
It is indeed, but then so is non-Di2 9000 DA to be honest. Finest manual shifting I have ever experienced. Auto trimming is cool though for us non-SRAMites.
Next bike will be Di2, but I'm still loving manual.
