I'm a bit flummoxed and wondered whether any of the STW hive mind would have an idea on this.
I have some wheels which I recently had serviced by the LBS -- new bearings front and rear, and new freehub bearings.
Since I got the wheels back, the rear axle no longer fits through the hub. Previously it slid through with little or no resistance, but now it's binding. I tried greasing it and giving it a little gentle persuasion by hand, but no dice.
FWIW it's a DT Swiss boost wheel.
Any words of wisdom?
looking through the hub is the spacer out of line?
Wrong bearings, i.e. too thick?
What have the LBS said?
Take back to shop, don't much around trying to fix it or bodge something. Wrong part fitted or it's been put back together wrong so straight back to shop before you do some damage.
Had this with a Mavic wheel
It had press fit adaptors for converting to different axles. When i changed from 9mm QR to 12mm bolt through one of them was a tiny bit out of line and it caused the axle to bind.
Its possible they fitted the worng size bearing but chances are there is a similar misalignment somewhere on your wheel, it doesn't take much for an axle to bind.

I'm sure you have all been on tenterhooks waiting for the resolution of this particular tale.
I took the wheel back to the shop, and it turns out that a spacer had slipped slightly during reassembly of the rear hub. I guess the axle in the hub must have been misaligned which caused the bike axle to bind. It really felt as though the hub axle had shrunk somehow!
Anyway. All fixed and better now.
As an aside: this particular bike has been out of action since probably January some time, due to $LIFE preventing me booking the wheels in for service, and then lockdown making it unreasonable to make the journey to drop them off. I can't wait to ride it again!
