Hi, I've been lucky enough to complete the SDW a couple of times(over 2 days)Each time leaving from Winchester, I have had the luxury of my better half picking me up at Eastbourne at the finish.
I am going back in May as a group of 4 leaving our van in Winchester, just wondering how to get 4 muddy blokes and bikes back from Eastbourne to Winchester. How have you guy's managed it?

Park van in Eastbourne and take clean riders and bikes down to Winchester on the train the night before and stay in B&B?

An option thanks however, forgot to say coming from South Wales early in the morning riding to Truleigh Hill YHA the same day and finishing on the second day and the returning to Winchester and home.

Easy .
Train to Clapham, change then train to Winchester.
If you doing it over 2 days then you should be in Eastbourne well before rush hour so hopefully no probs with more than 3 bikes in the bike area.

I've always just hopped on a train from Eastbourne, up to Clapham and then main London/south coast line down to Winchester. Best check the time of the last train though 🙂

Sounds like train is a good option, any other choices out there?
