My shed got robbed last week. 4 blokes according to a neighbour, 10.30pm and bold as brass. Luckily my 3 bikes were ground anchored and untouched. Chainsaw, hammer drill and a few other bits went, but the bikes stayed. Anyway, I couldn't risk them returning with decent bolt cutters, so I've taken the airing cupboard and managed to fit 3 dismantled bikes in there. That includes a dh bike with the bars removed.
Pain in the arse not having an airing cupboard, but she'll get used to it in time.

Stick a heater in the shed and she'll be happy. I bet it's a bigger shed than the airing cupboard so an upgrade really.

So your neighbour saw them and did nothing? Unless he has a very good reason I'd be going mental at him.

I know what you mean but I think he was frightened, he is quite a timid type. He got the reg no. of the car but was too scared to phone the police, not sure I fully understand that, but people are frightened and I don't blame him for that. They could easily be targeted by these people.

Hmmm, I guess I might shout at them but not sure I'd be tackling four blokes on my own. Would definitely have called the police though.

Not calling the Police is just plain weird. It's not like anybody would know whether he was or he wasn't. Still nothing to be done about that now and at least your bikes are nice and cosy.

Heater and spare duvets now in the shed? I mean, she cannot go without the airing cupboard, may as well make the bikes inside a permanent fixture.

I'd be keeping an eye on the neighbour. The thugs wouldn't have known it was him who called so why wouldn't he? He also presumably knows your bikes are in there? Not anything just sounds a little off too me. Glad your bikes are safe.

He is not a blokey bloke, he is more like a dale winton bloke, but far far less confident.
Yes the airing cupboard is going to be a permanent thing, no choice really, there is very little to deter a theif from your shed. Not sure what to do about the loss of airing cupboard. I currently have a washing mc under the stairs, if that can go in the shed, bikes under stairs, she gets it back. All in good time.

Bikes belong in the house anyway (unless you're under the thumb), but that neighbour sounds dodgy.
