I love my little bar mounted GoPro Session 5, it's perfect for an unobtrusive safety camera except that the battery life isn't great (& never was). I pop it on when I think it's needed but after a really scary close pass last ride, when I didn't have it on, I realise that I probably need to have a camera on permanently & my GoPro is years old and not going to last for ever.
I'd like something reasonably small. It doesn't need a built in screen & 1080 @ 25/30fps would be fine; not too pricey would be nice.
Drift & Cycliq look promising but I'd really like something with a simple replaceable battery (not something that requires heat guns & soldering irons).
What should I be looking at?
Chili tech do something like that, but swapping the battery will reset the date stamp
Ive had a GoPro, Drift Ghost XL and a Chilli cam
The GoPro was great but battery life was poor
Drift Ghost XL had good battery life but was bulky esp when mounted on a helmet
Chilli cam has great battery life, easy to use and fits nicely on a helmet, battery is removable, only downside is the quality isnt great, fine for daytme use only
If you want the std 1080p Chilli cam they are £70 from them or under £20 for the exact same camera on Amazon
