Have a WTB something that came with the bike - SC BLT2. Very unimpressed that in less than a year the stitching has failed and half the material has come away exposing all the padding. Tis comfortable though
Never bought a saddle before and just totally baffled by the choice. Majority of my riding is 2-3 hours, including some reasonably steep technical climbs and descents. Don't want anything fancy, but fairly comfy and designed for offroad use, around the £30-£40 mark.
All suggestions and comments greatfully received
SDG Bel-air.
Some deals around on them, get the kevlar edges.
Charge Spoon?
I'd start with a Charge Spoon and see if that's OK for you. Lots of folk have found them to be just fine and they're not too expensive should it turn out not to work for you. You'll also be able to sell it on (here) relatively easily.
Thanks for the suggestions. Any other ideas on Fizik. WTB or anyone else before I go and buy a Charge or SDG?
I have had an SDG & WTB, I liked both, but now run a spoon on both bikes as I like them even more, a mate recently found a deal on eBay and got a Ti railed one for the price of a chromoly one...
Opinions vary wildy on saddles as its very much a personal choice.
Fizik Gobi, very comfy! But is a bit more expensive...
Thanks all. Just ordered an SDG Bel Air - £19.95 at Merlin. Don't think I can go wrong at that price
Sorry Mate -you should have bought the Spoon - I just have and its awesome!
SpeedyG, probably either would be fine, and will be personal preference. The SDG looks a bit more padded, and I tried Mrs M's Charge Ladle which is a female version of the Spoon, and didn't feel that comfy to me

Perhaps because you're not a woman?
Yeah, nice range on merlin cycles

I'm thinking about getting an SDG or Selle Italia
