I'm staying in Wells on Monday night - any routes nearby that include the Cheddar cliffs?

If you have a link to a map that would be ace!!!

:o)

You've got some good stuff on that map, plus several miles of the Strawberry Line...

Generally cliffs and bikes dont go, most of cheddar involves medium to E grade rock climbs, so a bit tricky on 2 wheels.

Nose around in Rowberry Woods for some nice DH stuff, if that tickles your fancy.

Most of Limestone Link (check out your OS map) is great single and double track, ride it east to west.

Have fun, I may be down that was tomorrow.

Nothing in there that will be unpassable then? What's the bw on top of the cliff like? Are all the trails pretty clear?

The BW across the top of the gorge is pretty technical in places, but not too exposed and is all doable if you're good enough, altough the odds are probably against you in the wet.

Once in Cheddar, there are no easy climbs out except to go along the strawberry line.

Its all a bit slimy at the mo.

Which makes it slow, knackering and good fun!
