I know i posted a thread earlier wanting 2 183mm rotors but ive noticed my alpine has got 185mm on the back and a 203mm on the front, now my question is, ive got hope tech x2 brakes on my cannondale and avid elixirs on my alpine, im wanting to put the tech x 2s on the alpine but im not sure what size rotors to run with them? im guessing ill need bigger rotors because its a heavier bike? its an alpine 160 16 inch, and will the tech x2`s be ok to run on the alpine as there more of a xc,am brake, any advice would be good cheers 🙂

the avids come on the alpine as standard, just want to put my hope tech x2`s on it instead but not sure what size rotors to run front n rear.
You can use the standard rotors that came with the bike. The avids might not fit the hope floating rotors (some foul the rivets) x2s are more XC oriented I'm sure they will be fine. M4s would suit you needs better.
I've got a set of x2s on my XC bike and m4s on my AM bike
yeh my mate has just bought m4s for his crush lol, are the avids more AM than the x2s would you say then if thats what there putting on an alpine?
