Has anyone removed the spacer under the bottom out bumper to increase travel, I've just got a bargain from crc but its 230x60 with a 5mm spacer, I'm replacing a super deluxe air shock thats 230x65, losing half an inch travel is no big deal but if the spacer is safe to remove it would be great.

I bought a 230x60 RS super deluxe coil from TF Tuned. They removed the spacer to make it 230x65 to suit my bike. The sag markings aren’t accurate but I can live with that.
Thanks guys, popular topic that one was 😀
Removing the spacer is a straight forward, albeit carefully executed cutting out of the plastic spacer, probably wise to stick a layer of masking tape on the shaft to protect it whilst you cut it out. Fitting a spacer to reduce the stroke is a more complex task as it needs some stripping down to expose the shaft and slide a fresh spacer on.
