Does anyone have any route guides for a decent 50-60mile road loop in the area or within a short drive, I don't mind driving 30min to get out of the motorways, but not all the way to the Peak/Lake district?

Yea, I drove over Darwen Moor last night which looked lovely, although I'm sure there are quieter lanes than the main road.
There is loads in and around Saddleworth, over to Caldedale and West Yorkshire. I'd look at starting in Littleborough and taking in Hebden, Haworth, Cragg Vale type route which'd be about the distance you want.
I probably ride up to about 40 miles on the road so my routes may not be enough for you.
50-60 Chilterns miles may or may not be more or less than the same Moors miles!
