I work 3 floors up in a hospital, but I'd never do a thing like that even late at night when no-one was looking.

I did in my student house mainly because it had a nice run out at the bottom.
Didn't dare at my parents and I should really in my new house. the stair carpet is hideous so a skid mark or two shouldn't harm it.
Tell you what. they make for good trackstand and switchback practise!

Used to have a sunken lounge in our old house with a couple of steps down. Used to practice my drops when I first got into mtbing when the kids were in bed and papadirt was on nights 😉

stairs, no (I'd have to take down a couple of hanging photos & CBA)

Done "supertrials challenge" (1 pathetic trackstandy rear wheel lift thing) round the lounge a few times when building up bikes though, including once barefoot on V12s with the long pins. Left a couple of bloody spots on the newish carpet when I got off 😳

There are some at work that I'm desperate to do. Kind of a bit spirally with a great run out....I expect it would be frowned upon.

Done it pleny when at uni, once when drunk on a road bike with a set of Mavic cosmic wheels (yeah, the ones with 16 spokes on the front and 20 on the back). They were fine, but I was "riding light" 😉

sometime back, in the days of yore, there was a bike shop on the calls in leeds.
2 wheels good.
it was on the 1st floor of a very old building, with a very tight steep staircase up to it.
i am sure there is some footage of a certain Jez Avery riding down these.
he was pretty good at such stuff.

Me and my son once did the external steel stairs of a Campanile in France at about 6 in the morning. Must have woken everybody up as it made a hell of a noise 🙂

i recon the big tower spiral staircase @ Warwick castle is doable if only you could clear it of fat Yanks and chittering Japanese

Rode the internal stairs at my old college, complete with switchback half way down. Was wearing a suit, to add to the comedy value for bemused staff and students. Did i say i failed all my exams? 😆

Good times!

I remember a good few years ago, one of the guys from Singletrack magazine had a party, where one of the guests rode the stairs, tricky to as it had a hairpin near the bottom.

Terrassa, Catalonia. 234 steps

There is a handrail if you look closely, so no worries really 😉

Nope I haven't, mine are a bit windy and have no run out. I'm almost tempted to give it a go now for some reason, but I do want to see some of my deposit in a few months time 😆

I rode down flights of stairs in halls at uni. Tight switchbacks every half-floor with a floor to ceiling window made for an interesting challenge. Was getting a bit worried a couple flights down when I'd built a bit of speed - don't think those windows would've slowed me down much if I misjudged :S

Ive surfed down mine on a slick bottomed body board, with the front door open at the bottom to allow a run out into the yard. My best mate forgot to open the front door, and it has never closed properly since.

I pogo-sticked down the front steps at one house I lived in

Got no stairs at all at the mo... But Jedi, there's a great set of steps running down to West Street opp Cole Green Way. I haven't had the bottle to ride them yet, but I will do it!

On the Mojo - All 5 floors of Mechanical Engineering at Leeds University. 😀

I live on the 4th floor of a block of flats in Leeds, but stating from the 4th was hardly a challenge, so I asked myself....what would Jedi do? Lift to the 7th and start from there. On a rigid Ti 29er no less 😀

Gotta be done.

I have measured it - the tandem would make the corners but SWMBO says NO!

You will find dangerous images of Cynic al in lycra somewhere
