Will you die? Possibly.

I'd rest.

See how you feel on Sunday but if you're off colour don't, it won't be fun

Neck check.

Symptoms above the neck - go, but take it easy

Anything below the neck - ie on your chest, rest.

Knew someone once who kept training through. Ended up fitting and hospitalised. If in doubt, rest.

If in any doubt - don't. Been there, done that and had the best part of a buggered up year as a result and still have occasional ongoing issues.

Not worth the potential harm.

Just rest.

Oh how I remember the hilarity of me shrugging off a fever with a 15 mile run. Oh the fun of throwing up by the road side and passing out. Was laid up for a while after that.

Did manage to run the 15 miles though, cos I'm nails; 8)

I wouldn't. The only time I've been really ill is after I went on a longish ride feeling a bit "off". Go for a walk instead.

Sadly, a virus will be in your blood; all over your body.

Here's a warning from an aquaintance of mine.

This is what I do. Go out before - ride gently and keep turning it up.. If you feel worse, stop go home and stay off bike.

I'd rest, I once went for a cycle in the snow while under the weather because I didn't want to miss out, and I was poorly for 2 or 3 weeks afterwards.

Being younger and living at home at the time it was vaguely worth it I guess, with me having no responsibilities, but I wouldn't do it again.

Rest, definitely rest, or it'll set you back a bit in your recovery.

I had 2 days off work at the start of last week due to man flu, still got the chest infection and feel quite weak when commuting into work - I'd give a long ride a miss.
God knows how the pros manage to ride when they are ill!

Woudl you like me to ride the beast in your place under your name?

Its a service I offer seeing as i'm goign to try and get a place on the line if possible.

I will share your pain through riding instead and trying not to enjoy it too much
