was up walking around edge of shear water and saw lots of people riding and as we are going camping near there again this summer I will take the bike (and kiddy trailer).
Any route or where to ride tips (for family riding, xc or playing around) would be great, or is it just a job exploring the tracks yourself?

Hi Max!
Not ridden there myself but my understanding is that the woods ont he actual estate are private and are leased to a riding club - the Black Canon Collective - who have built a few DH tracks there. One chap who came digging with me said he'd had a run-in with some less than friendly club members who wanted to know why he was riding without a permit! Maybe practice your best impression of a lost German tourist? ๐
Following your nose is good, but can send you some routes (which incorporate the 'best bits') if you like.
(Have done for people who've asked about Longleat before).

ah ok I'll bear that in mind, thanks.
I heard that the kind but.....eccentric Lord Bath allowed cycling there.
It looked fun but I only had my little un's 8" high bike with me.
thanks Merman YGM.
