3 to 4 inch of snow, starting to melt this afternoon and likely to freeze when the sun goes down.. could be fun but slippy

good luck! which way do you plan descending? I would say it's going to be pretty dicy (3 in of snow in my garden and I'm about 5 miles away and a fair bit lower than the pole). in previous winters I have found it is passable on the sheffield side but mad, huge drifts on the other side

Was up there an hour or 2 back. There's fairly well tramped down snow on all the main lines. Packhorse trail was loadsa fun. Might be icy later, on the other hand, might just be super grippy.

Causeway was mostly OK, but a few icy patches by about 2.30. Looked like there might be more snow heading in though...
