Any decent, not-too tricky routes near Dunkeld? Climbing there today and the OH is keen to ride round there tomorrow but Dunkeld as I know it is pretty Gnarrcore.
Watcha got?
North to Loch Ordie and beyond is a nice route. Not particularly technical in any way but lovely countryside. I have a jpg map somewhere if you want it.
Jimmy: if you head W on a track from the Milldam down to the old drove road parallel to and above the A9, head S on this into the woods and after the track starts to descend take IIRC the 2nd left up the hill and I think right at a higher junction, you end up on a path that takes you to the viewpoint way above Polney Crag (large fallen tree across path).
Blast downhill through the Broom bushes and take a sneaky left into dense Firs to pick the climbers path to Lower Cave Crag.
Hope you enjoy the climbing: Upper Cave one of the more impressive scottish outcrops!
Thanks folks. Climbing was good but now feel feverish so heading home anyway. Will be back to climb and ride another time.
Coming back down thru Kings Pass is good and you have Bankfoot-Glengarr-LittleGlenshee-Bankfoot route across the Glen.
I passed the Climbers today going up to canoe the Tay.
