My bro did the same thing . Only nowhere near as badly, riding through some gravel.Stuck brake lever into his thigh through his jeans .
Only went in 1" or so but still bled alot , made worse by the mile or so ride home.
Local surgery swabbed it out and covered it with butterfly plasters.
About 1 month later the puss filled infected pustile he had been hiding burst open and a load of denim jean worms washed out . good work nurse .
