to go on a scandal the magura's are fixed travel but are a fair bit lighter, anyone comment on either fo these

No point in the big revs for the scandal, it'll be worth having the 100mm setting. Actually I'd say not much point in 120mm either, it does OK with them but it really isn't at its best over 110mm or so.
So the answer is c) 2008-spec QR revelations. Or rebas.
