Rather than keep buying new mounts has anyone taken the tape off and restuck one?
I know they use 3M VHB 4926 tape but it’s a million quid a roll and from the states.
What have you used? I seem to have amassed a collection of different phone cases with mounts stuck to them so would like to reuse at least some of them.

I was wondering about this too, surely there is an alternative?

You can buy VHB tape and pads on eBay. The seller mjc-digital-uk for example has various different types/codes.

Not much help, perhaps, but I bought a phone which doesn't have a quadlock case option.... So I bought a case of the right material, and stuck on their universal mount.

Not trusting it that much, I put on a bunch of small blobs of high quality superglue. Not a single issue with it sticking! Would suggest the same!

You do seem to able to buy the tape on ebay.

I guess you don't need much so look for something retail rather than an industrial product. You could try TESA as an alternative as they work with tapes. From what I can tell it is just a double sided adhesive tape. Would something as simple as no nails work? Either as a straight forward glue or some of their double sided tapes.

I guess the only reason a tape is used is because it is easier for the consumer rather than messing around with tubes of glue?

I've used Sikaflex. Works great over 1000's of hours.
