To avoid a total new wheel can anyone recommend something for a rim swap with approx the same ERD?

Think these are 599 but that might be too much of a stretch

How about a nice Campagnolo Omega 19? 😉

I don't know of any MTB rims that big. Even shallow rim like a Stans Flow MK3 isn't.

DT XR391/361 are both 607mm and XR331 is 606mm
XM rims are around 602mm and the EX rims circa 600mm.

So if an XC rim works for you, then the XR models would be a straight swap.

FYI that's what I'm trying to replace but not in stock

Well that's super weird.....I have those rims ha ha.
They don't 'look' like 608mm ERD though. I just did a quick measure and they have a deeper profile than both my DT EX511 and Chromag Magna 40 rims. The Magna 40 has a 604mm ERD with a pretty shallow profile. The DT rim is a little deeper and 601mm (both according to company spec's, which can often be wrong!). I'd double check the measurements. I'm gonna guess at 598mm 😀

DT ex511 won't work - 6mm out for spoke length

Walleater> yeah i compared them to a EX511 and they looked deeper too.
Maybe Trek site incorrect?

El-B>cheers. Trying to avoid new spokes, cant see it happening

I bought some e13 trs plus rims based off their web site spec matching them to Dr xr rims (plus washers).. the e13 spec was not accurate.
Measure what you've got before trying to find the wrong thing.

Personally, I'd get whatever is most appropriate for the application and replace the spokes if needed. Cyclebasket sell cheap but good aci spokes.

Genuinely interested as to how this thread was displayed in the forum in order to be resurrected?
