Doesn't look like these are available anymore from Shimano.
Are the Ultegra Octalinks a suitable replacement, despite the different lengths or can my 950 be cleaned up and regreased?
Advice please.

Resurrecting it for the new toy? Not good news if they are getting hard to find - I've got 3 95x chainsets ๐Ÿ™

The spline pattern is the same as octalink road b/brackets so ultegra and dura ace are options if the length works. Depending on which version of the b/b you have there might be regrease options - I have one with accessible roller bearings but most seem to be fully sealed and disposable.

New toy? What new toy? Just a couple of cardboard boxes from Medford, that's all.
Nothing to see here, move along.

c,

Check this site...

http://www.sheldonbrown.com/bbsize.html

Approx 25% down ther are excellent pictures showing V1 and V2.

You simply cannot mix Octalink V1 with V2 because the splines are different width and depth.

Scour ebay and retro bike sites.

Yeah there's not many of hem about. You can try using the road bb, but they are 109.5 & 118. The longer one will be difficult to access the largest ring, it doesn't always work. The shorter one may have chain stay clearance problems the road bb will be 68mm shell too.
I've got a spare, but that's to keep my P20 going when the current one dies and isn't for sale
