Thinking of splashing out on a fancy seatpost for my Handjob (27.2mm)
Am stuck between either cane creek thudbuster or a dropper like the KS i7.
Mostly ride around Haldon, Dartmoor & the Mendips.
Opinions appreciated thanks

Gravity Dropper's are great and simple too. (I never said they were pretty!)

Get a nice Titanium one. Soaks up the bumps a bit and looks really nice and simple. I can see a noticeable difference to my rigid frame with one I use now over a rigid alloy post. Plus saves a lot of weight over something like a Thud buster

Depends really.

If you do lower your post regularly, then I'd definitely go for the KS i7 - I have a KS 950i and wouldn't be without it on my Enduro.

However, on my steel Kona HT, I have a USE XCR sus post. It's far prettier than a Thudbuster and does it's job well enough to remove trail buzz and let you remain seated over small roots etc.

FSA Carbon here, takes the trail buzz out, I can remain seated over small bumps that I previously couldn't.

I'm very taken with my HiLo since getting it. good VFM uppy downer, not light but then why would it be?

uppy downey posts are generally great IMO.
