My Giant wheels have been brilliant but the freehub is feeling a bit rough and apparently you cant access the Giant freehub to fix it.
So am thinking of replacing the freehub but am wanting to use a different brand.
Will a DT swiss or any other brand freehub fit onto a Giant Hub?
Hope all this makes sense.
Thanks in advance
There are a good few different Giant hubs around - which hub/wheel is it?
P-X2 Wheels, am just wanting to replace the freehub but with a different brand.
The freehub is specific to the hubshell.
So I can only replace it like for like with a Giant Freehub?

Probably/almost, there should be a code on the freehub body.
It may be made by someone else, Novatec potentially, but you'll need find the model number on the freehub to work that out.
Why do you want to avoid the Giant one?
Giant usually outsource their hubs to other manufacturers e.g. Novatech (low end) or DT Swiss (higher end stuff).
Quickest thing to do would be to take the wheel to a Giant dealer and ask them to order you a replacement.

Because its not very good and hasn't lasted as long as i thought.
Yes i think i might have to take it to my shop LBS.
I thought it might be this
I've tried to flog ( even give away) my giant wheels and no one wants them.
I'd have a look for a complete wheel.
What size do you need?
Zippykona
Ive been looking at
DT Swiss G 1800 Spline 25 Disc Gravel Wheelset - 700c
or
DT Swiss GR 1600 Spline 25 Clincher Gravel Wheelset - 700c
or
Hunt wheels.
The giant wheels if i can fix them will be good for spares

Unless it was bought as a wheel not complete bike I was informed by the Giant Store they need the frame number ... and won't order without it. This is weird as the will order a non Giant freebub based on the parts number....(in my case FH-502)
