Which one you looking at mate and what's the intended use? I mean Zwift or just plain "dumb" use.

I have the same model. not PlanetX, but a generic other brand, but the same bit of kit. I had to pay an extra £30 for a spindle/axle that fitted my road bike. Works fine, pretty quiet. Only had it a week but seems to do as advertised.

I've just spent £20 on a Coospo cadence sensor, but thats sitting on my desk next to me waiting to see if i can set it up, and then have a go at a Zwift Trial and just see what i think.

interestingly my wife & 14 year old daughter seem to like it too.

Just have a look on ebay if all you need is a dumb trainer even at the overinflated peak during lockdown Minoura, cyclops, elite, trax etc trainers were still selling for £20. At least if it's from a big/known brand then it's likely it'll appear on the compatible trainer lists for things like sufferfest, trainerroad etc.

FWIW minoura magnetic trainers are really quiet, and don't suffer leaks like well used fluid trainers eventually do.
