Garmin themselves offer very sensibly priced repairs.

Worth an email if nothing else!

You might get away with an 800 but but be aware that, as far as I can tell, Garmin Uk don't mend them. I wanted some minor repairs to a model that was in theory no longer available and all I got was "its not a current model so we don't mend it" It wasn't current as the current version, which is still available has a letter s after its number. Same other wise.
Hope you are in luck.

I've just (arrived yesterday) had an 800 replaced after the USB connection died so should be OK as far as currency of model is concerned. As above, they don't repair but will do you a refurb unit for £75.

Garmin are based in totton, Southampton. If you are local you can just drop it in (after booking it in of course)
