Trying to get Ritchey WCS grips off my handlebars, not having much luck.

Brute force isn't working, any tips?

Cheers.

poke a thin screw driver or similar under them and squirt some liquid undrneath, they then slide off easily. You can use watr but that then takes a while to dry and the grips won't stick firmly on again until they are dry. If you have hairspay use that. It dries nice and quick and will stick hte grips in place when it does.

Alternatively push the grips off rather than pulling, if that makes sense. A kettle of hot water poured over them to warm and soften the rubber will help.

I use an old aero spoke, which I filed down so there were no sharp edges, slide it under the grip from the inside end, then squirt gt85 in and twist.

unfortunately the foam will be gt85y for ages afterwards 🙁

Are these the foam ones? What works for normal rubber grips is levering them up with a bicycle spoke, a long screwdriver, or a chopstick, and gettign some GT85 or water between the grip and the handlebar. Wiggle them about a bit and they should just slide off.

Access to an air compressor with a blower gun attachment? If yes, lift edge of grip and give it a blast. Comes of really easily & makes comedy noises as well

or if you want the non destructive route, carefully slide a slim screwdriver between grip and bar, use that to lever it open enough to get the extension nozzle of a can of GT85 in there, spray, work it around, pull them off.

Cheers folks.

Yes, they are the foam grips.

I'll give the non destructive suggestions a try, give up and go with the Peter Poddy suggestion probably. 😳

As above, GT85 is your answer, with thin screwdriver and then spray mount adhesive to replace on.

try rolling them from the inside end then just pop them off the end of the bar.

Douse in petrol, light, then file the charred mess off.

I bought an EBC trailer of the classifides. It was sent yesterday, early afternoon, and arrived about 9am this morning. Parcelforce.
