Not a major problem, done loads. Though this baby is well snug against the carbon crown and steerer.
Any tips?

They've got a 'Black Box' crown. Absolutely zero gap for a blade and very bulky. Anyone tried a crown removal tool?

You'd not get a razor blade in these.

I use a wood chisel on metal ones, could be worth a try...
Though I'd give it very little pressure from the hammer to chisel technique.

Park crown race removal tool, any decent shop should have one. I had a trek full carbon road fork to do the other day and was very glad to have that bit of kit.

That's just not gonna happen with these. The bottom of the race is sat absolutely flat on the crown. And because the carbon crown is so bulky there isn't a single point to get leverage.
Split races rule, well they will when this ones off.

I was hoping mike might come along, as he removed one from some SID World Cups.

I'd recommend using a large baseball bat, not for the crown race removal, but for beating the clown that designed it,why in God's name would anybody design a crown race with a square edge that prevents any removal tools being fitted/used?

Cut the crown race with a dremmel? Then you have a nice split race as well.

No joy yet. The crown is so bulky and the race sits so flush. Might contact Rockshox.

+1 for nice sharp chisel, flat side down

maybe heat it up first to make it shift with less force ?

I think I'd just use the same type of headset that uses that crown race.
