Strong / light / cheap ..........I'll pick 2

Strong / light.

So any recommendations I have hope hub/stans 355 at the moment and the rims aren't really up to it .
Also a bit slim as my ardents tend to roll on them a bit .

My Hope hubs on Crest rims with DT swiss spokes have (without wanting to tempt fate) been fautless over the last 18 mths.

240s with Arch Ex rims and supercomps? Not much point in crests if 355s aren't up to it.

Try "just riding along". Lots of choice and great service - should give you an idea of what is availiable.

I'd personally go with Arch EX on ProII EVOs unless you want to bomb through rock gardens or run >2.4" tyres (in which case Flows).

No experience personally, but these look just the ticket if you can stomach the cost per rim...

Velocity P35's would be a good shout for a rigid front end probably, but with a suspension fork and a fat tyre too, it might plump the tyre up too much to fit with decent clearance (or it may not, just that I know Reba's are tight for mud room). Again, not cheap though.

Mavic TN719's are strong and stiff, not tubeless compatible directly but easily sorted with a rimstrip. No wider than your current 355's though, but still very good.

Then of course there's the 29er Flow rims, which again, not cheap, but if you've got the money they probably make sense.
