My girlfriend is a vegetarian and I'd like to get her something more suitable to ride in than cheap canvas skate shoes. Any ideas?

If she's vegetarian then anything made from leather should be ok.

Pretty sure Orchid's shoes are vegan friendly though. I had some and they were bob on.

Expensive canvas skate shoes?

Duffs 4130 are pretty good for the bike. Chunkier sole than Vans/DC etc with good grip. I got a pair of hi-tops in TK Max for £20. There may be a bit of leather in them though, so don't let her eat them.

I'm sure LittleGirlBunny will be along to help soon.
In the mean time, here's something she wrote under a different name on another forum.

Thanks guys, some good info there, I'll look through those.
She isn't a vegan (eats eggs, milk etc) but doesn't use leather products.
I should have said that canvas is OK for summer, but not good for winter. Re-soling is certainly an option.

Cheers!
